CYPRIEN SEMAYNE

Born in Paris, Cyprien Semayne began studying viola at the Regional Conservatory of Angers in the François Hetsch's class. After obtaining his General Baccalaureate, he returned to the Queen Sofia School in Madrid in the class of Diemut Poppen and Jonathan Brown. He also integrates the string quartet class of Heime Muller. In 2015, with the Madrid Mutual Foundation Quartet, he receives, from the hands of Queen Sofia, the prize for the best quartet of the school.


Since September 2015, he studied at the Sion High School of Music in Switzerland. Student of Daniel Haefliger in chamber music, he won the prize for best string quartet of Hemu Sion, received by LeClavier.ch. Cyprien Semayne regularly performs as a chamber musician or soloist throughout Europe and has participated in several Masterclasses including Atar Arad, Bruno Pasquier, the Ysaye Quartet, Gilles Apap, the Fine Arts Quartet, Isabel Charisius, Rachel Roberts, Wenting Kang.
